Overview

Clinical records and billing documents are stored using encrypted systems (including practice-approved secure cloud storage and our EHR). Secure communications use practice-approved channels.

This website’s chat answers general public questions. It does not access medical records. Do not use chat or SMS for emergencies or highly sensitive clinical detail. Call 911 or go to the nearest emergency room for crises.

SMS / mobile messaging

If you opt in to text messages from Brown Psychiatric Services (Dr. Matt Brown), we may send appointment reminders, scheduling notices (confirm, reschedule, cancel, telehealth logistics), and short replies when you text us with practice or scheduling questions.

Mobile numbers are not shared or sold to third parties for their marketing or promotional purposes. We do not sell, rent, or share your mobile phone number with third parties or affiliates for marketing. We may use service providers (such as our SMS/voice platform) only to deliver messages you requested or that relate to your care logistics, under agreements that limit use of your number.

Message frequency varies. You may receive a small number of messages around each appointment (for example reminders and confirmations), plus replies when you message us. Frequency depends on your schedule and whether you text the practice.

Message and data rates may apply. Your carrier’s standard messaging rates may apply to messages you send or receive.

Sharing & legal

Data is not shared with third parties for marketing. Information may be disclosed when you request it in writing, as needed to provide care and operate the practice (including vendors under confidentiality obligations), or when required by law.
